Reporting to the Electrical Assistant Director, the incumbent is responsible to manage the implementation of projects ranging from the production and design of plans, drawings and technical specifications up to the control of construction projects.
Job responsibilities
Designer (60%):
- Designs plans, drawings, specifications and addendas
- Estimates construction costs and verifies extra contractor costs
- Performs surveys, carries out inspections, generates reports and supervises construction sites, including coordinating contractors
Project Manager (40%):
- Acts as a client contact for the project’s technical aspects and schedule
- Coordinates the design team
- Ensures that projects are reviewed by quality control
- Maintains the file in order until it is archived

Job requirements
- DEC in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in electrodynamics
- 10 years of relevant experience in the field of Consulting Engineering
- Excellent knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code
- Technical skills: Power distribution, motor protection and controls, fire alarm systems, generators and UPS, lighting
- Bilingual (French/English)
- Information technologies: Windows, Word, Excel and AutoCAD
